Setting up your account

A walkthrough of CoreReach's five-screen signup — from finding your business to making your first test call, in about five minutes.

Written by Sarah

Signing up for CoreReach is one flow of five screens, and most people finish in about five minutes. By the end you'll have an account, a working voice agent, a CoreReach phone number, and you'll have heard the agent answer a call.

A progress bar at the top tracks you through three stages — Your business, Claim your agent, Ready to call.

1. Find your business

Search for your business by name and pick it from the Google results. CoreReach reads your name, address, phone number and description from your listing and uses them as the starting point for your agent, so there's less to type.

If you'd rather not use Google — or you don't have a listing — there's a link at the bottom of the screen to use your website instead. Paste your website address and CoreReach reads it from there. You can switch between the two at any point on this screen.

You'll be asked to confirm the business name before moving on, and you can edit it if the listing has it wrong.

2. Meet your agent

You'll hear a preview of how your agent greets callers to your business, using the details from step 1.

There's nothing to configure here. The screen exists so you know what a caller hears before you commit to anything — and everything about it (voice, name, greeting, personality) is editable later under Agent → Agent Profile.

3. Claim your agent

Enter the mobile number you want to sign in with. CoreReach texts you a 6-digit code; enter it and the agent is yours.

This number becomes your sign-in. There's no password — you'll sign in with a code sent to this phone from now on, and you can add email sign-in later. See Managing your profile, sign-in, and notifications.

If the code doesn't arrive, wait about ten seconds and use the resend link. Sign-in, payment, and calendar issues covers what to do if it still doesn't.

4. Building your agent

CoreReach now builds the agent while you watch, and the screen shows you where it's up to:

  1. Learning about your business

  2. Creating your agent

  3. Giving your agent a phone number

  4. Ready to answer calls

This takes a minute or two. The phone number is assigned here — you don't request it separately.

There's one optional field on this screen: an email address, to get call notifications and summaries in your inbox. You can leave it blank and add it later under Account → Profile; nothing on this screen is required.

5. Make a test call

You'll see your new CoreReach number and a few suggestions for what to say. Call it from your own phone and have a conversation with your agent — this is the fastest way to understand what you've got.

There's an I'll do this later link if you'd rather get straight into the app. Either way you land on your Dashboard, and the test call is waiting for you there whenever you want it.

What to do next

Your agent exists and answers its own CoreReach number, but it isn't taking your business's calls yet. That takes one more decision — whether to forward your existing number to CoreReach or hand out the CoreReach number directly — and it's covered in Call routing — going live and forwarding your number.

Two other things worth knowing on day one:

  • You're on a 14-day trial with the Momentum plan's features switched on, and there are five things it exists to demonstrate. See Your 14-day trial, and what happens after it.

  • Your agent only knows what your Google listing said. Filling in your business details, hours and FAQs is what makes it sound like your business rather than a generic one — see the Configuring Your Agent collection.
